Captain Mike Penn is a former U.S. Navy Fighter Pilot, airline pilot and Chief Pilot for Southwest Airlines, Vietnam Prisoner of War, and a professional inspirational and keynote speaker.

Mike utilized work experiences from touring in a rock band playing guitar, to attending college full-time while working as a police officer in Fort Worth, Texas, in order to achieve a college degree to qualify for US Navy officer and flight training.

​

Lessons learned through those opportunities and through military service as well contribute to his presence, effectiveness, and command of the audience. Having the opportunity to actually live the movie Officer and a Gentleman (Mike says that he didn’t get into a fight with his drill instructor!), live the movie Top Gun, and living the life of a commercial airline pilot, check pilot, chief pilot, and flight manager is unequaled.
